Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and research and ESI Model hospital at Basaidarapur is a tertiary care institution located in the state of Delhi. The institution includes clinical specialities like General medicine with Cardiology, General & Minimally Invasive Surgery, urology, Paediatric and plastic surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology with IVF Centre, Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery, Paediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry and Day care Oncology. Para-clinical departments include Radiology, Biochemistry, Pathology with Haematology and Microbiology complement clinical departments. The institution is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi and presently has postgraduate MD/MS courses in Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology and Paediatrics and DM in Department of Pulmonary.

ESI Model Hospital, Basaidarapur, is a 600 Bedded hospital with approved plan to expand to 1000 bed with facility of ICU, CCU, Chest ICU and PICU. A fresh Proposal of increasing the number of ICU beds to 100 is under the process. Under the guidance of ESI Head Quarter, institution is striving to achieve the objective of standard of care from reasonable health care. Plan to convert it to Centre of Excellence is underway. Two newly constructed buildings are expected to fully functional in the near future to fulfil this objective. A separate OT Complex with 10 operation theatres is fully functional to cater the need of surgical disciplines. Approximately, 7 lakh patients attend Out-patient department and 35 thousand patients getting admitted annually.
